Welcome to my blog and today I want to tell you amazing facts about birds.

Ok,now I am telling...the scientists believe that birds have evolved from theropod dinosaurs. These are the dinosaur clade that is characterized by hollow bones and three toed limbs.

1) You know about the largest bird in the world,which is Ostrich. It lays largest eggs and fastest running speed of 97kph.

2) The largest tree nest ever recorded for any animal species was built by the Bald eagle.

3) To attract a mate, a male Frigate bird will blow up its red throat pouch. The pouch can be big as a person's head.                                           

4) The smallest bird egg belongs to the Hummingbird and is the size of a pea.

5) In Unites States alone,there are 40 million pet birds.                                                                 

6) Owls turn their heads almost 360 degree but cannot move their eyes.                                 

7) Emperor penguins spend their entire lives in Antarctica.                                                       

8) Lyrebirds are one of the best mimics in the birds world. They have been recorded copying other birds and animals calls perfectly.            

9) Large parrots like Macaws are among the longest living parrot species. Healthy macaw parrot live an average of 50 years.                    

10) The Rupells Griffon Vulture flies the highest of any bird on record.         

                      

11) Crows have the largest cerebral hemisphere (brain) relative to their body size.
